CNN reports that the Japanese government as lifted the ban on fresh food produce from the Fukushima area despite a re-assessment of the overall Fukushima tragedy to level 7 from 5. Reminiscent of John Gummer during the UK mad cow disease fiasco a Japanese minister is seen eating a raw tomato from the area in an attempt to encourage people to believe that fresh produce is safe.
What do you think, do you consider the food from Japan safe. I’m currently in Singapore and the local shops are still carrying assurances that food on the shelf from Japan is from non contaminated areas! Please comment below.
